After talking with my child's teacher, it was clear that something was bothering my son. I sat down with him after school that day, and he explained that he felt like he didn't get a lot of time with me. I felt terrible. I realized that we weren't spending that much time together as a family, and that it was hurting my son's grades. I spoke with my husband, and we decided to dedicate a few nights a week for family time. It was amazing the difference it made. Our son started sharing his struggles, hopes, and dreams, and we were able to mold him more effectively. Check out this website for ideas on how to spend time together as a family.
